| National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), Nagpur, (under Ordnance Factory Board, Ministry of Defence Production & Supplies) has the mandate for training & development of the officers of Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS).
The Ordnance Factories are a multi unit , multi location industrial setup with annual turnover of about Rs. 7000 crores (US 1.5 Billion) under the Ordnance Factory Board and is a conglomerate of about 40 production units to provide a broad and versatile production base with multi-technology capabilities covering a wide spectrum of engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, Chemical, Textile, Leather, Optics and Electronics catering to product groups encompassing Weapons, vehicles, ammunition, armoured vehicles, clothing and general equipments. The organization, besides contemporary/ traditional technologies, also has state of the art manufacturing facilities, large reservoir of skilled and professionally qualified manpower and managerial personnel. |
